Gentle Yoga and Sound Bath in Leicester – 3rd Tues of the month 7pm Houghton village hall, Leicester.
A gentle yoga practice focusing on slow, mindful movement, connecting body and the breath to facilitate deep relaxation. We will work with floor based postures, using props to fully support the body, incorporating restorative yoga postures, somatic movement and breathwork.
- Releasing the body – holding and flowing with gentle postures allows the body to release more deeply
- Calming the mind – with a slow meditative practice
- An opportunity to just be – stilling the mind, exploring gentle movement of the body
- Time to release and flow into each posture – an anecdote to our busy lives

Sound Bath: An opportunity to simply lie down on a yoga mat with a blanket and pillow and relax whilst I play a variety of instruments around and over the body to facilitate calm, relaxation and healing. Sound baths are a highly accessible form of meditation as you’re listening to the sounds of the instruments so the monkey mind is a lot less likely to wonder.

What to expect:
The session will focus on gentle yoga, including some restorative postures and somatics, together with breathwork combined with sound. We will then progress onto a Sound Bath.
What to bring:
A yoga mat, pillow or cushion and blanket. Yoga mats will be available if you don’t have one. All other props are provided, however if you have your own blocks, belt and bolster you may wish to bring that along
