Yoga and mindfulness for Schools and colleges in Leicester

Sunshine and Light can provide fun and engaging kids yoga and teen yoga and mindfulness sessions for schools and colleges in Leicester and Leicestershire. These sessions are bespoke and tailored to each school or college’s requirements. Areas of focus might be tools to help cope and manage stress, anxiety and mood, increasing fitness and flexibility, or mindfulness that can be brought into daily life . The sessions can be one offs or a series of sessions over a period of time or regular weekly sessions. The sessions might be for example stress busting before SATs or GCSEs or A levels or part of a well-being or mindfulness day or intervention for children or young people with Special Educational Needs. The sessions can be catered for any age group from 3 to 18 and are run by Claudine who is fully qualified and insured and holds an enhanced DBS certificate. Claudine also holds a fully up to date first aid certificate.

The sessions can achieve any of the following and be tailored to your requirements:

  • provide tools to cope with anxiety and stress
  • create an overall feeling of well-being
  • help increase confidence and self esteem
  • improve mental focus and concentration
  • assist mood management
  • build relationships between young people
  • enhance fitness levels

Yoga and mindfulness sessions focus on the body as a whole, involving yoga postures, breath and movement, creating a sense of overall calm and well being to help improve mental and physical health. They help to increase fitness levels and benefit any mood issues by tackling anxiety, stress and hyperactivity, (eg caused by ADHD, ASD, low mood etc).
