Claudine provides yoga classes and chair yoga classes in Houghton on the Hill, Leicester. I also provide sound baths in Oakham, Rutland and Tilton on the Hill, Leicester.
Yoga helps create a healthy body and a relaxed mind. Classes are great for improving flexibility, strength, general fitness and mental health, bringing an overall sense of well-being.
All yoga classes and sound baths are led by Claudine who is an experienced teacher, YRT who is qualified and fully insured to teach adults, children & teens yoga, meditation & mindfulness and sound healing. Claudine completed her training with Sunpower Yoga (Yoga Alliance 200hrs certified), Young Yogi Academy (accredited by IYN), Teen Yoga (accredited by IYN) and Yoga for ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) & ADHD with Special Yoga (accredited by IYN) and Yoga in Health Care. She is also qualified in teaching sound healing, meditation and mindfulness and Yoga Nidra. Claudine is currently studying for her 500 hour qualification and holds a full DBS and a first aid certificate.
Claudine was advised to begin practicing yoga to help relieve mental health problems and immediately found it to be hugely beneficial in managing her symptoms. She quickly realised it was a powerful tool to relax and calm the body and mind, building a yoga practice into her daily life. Also suffering regularly from Sciatic pain, she found her yoga practice not only relieved her symptoms, but eventually made sciatic problems a thing of the past. Claudine has now been practicing yoga and meditation for over 23 years and has a wealth of experience to offer, particularly in mental health, due to her own experience in this area. She is passionate about sharing the benefits of yoga, meditation and sound healing to as many people as possible, both adults and children alike through her teaching, as it has helped her so much over the years. Sunshine and light yoga classes involve relaxation and breathing exercises, together with yoga postures to promote a relaxed, healthy mind and body. The postures (asanas) aim to stretch out the body, improve strength and flexibility, as well as general fitness and health. The guided relaxation and mindfulness calms the body and mind.
Yoga is suitable for all ages and levels of fitness. Please contact us in order to book in prior to attending a yoga class, so we can discuss any specific needs with you. We offer adaptations for those who may require it.
Sound healing is an ancient art used for thousands of years for calming and tuning the mind while re-balancing the body by releasing tension and subtle energetic blockages. A sound bath is deeply relaxing and simple yet profound way to connect with the centre of our being. Claudine uses the healing sounds of the Singing Bowl, Gong, Hang pan, Shamanic Drum, Sansula, Koshi Bells, Rainstick and voice in her sound baths.
